I received my first DSLR as a gift in November 2009 - a Canon Rebel XS. The very next month I found myself at the Maasai Mara National Park in Narok County, Kenya, taking photos with a camera that I barely knew how to use, with very little knowledge of the rules/principles of photography. These are my favorite photos from that trip.
